💍 Our Story

April: Girl meets boy in a Facebook friends group. Their first meetup? A romantic rendezvous at... McDonald’s! Fries may or may not have been shared...

The Next Day: Damien asks me on a real date. We talk so much during our drive that we accidentally ended up in Brooks (an hour away from home!) without even realizing it. Time flies when you're falling for someone! 

The Day After That: Damien officially asks me to be his girlfriend. I say yes...and we basically never stop hanging out after that.

May: We’re already dreaming big together...about what we want in our lives, how many cats and dogs we are getting, starting up our own businesses, buying our own cozy home, and the rest of forever together!

June: Damien proposes! I’m so excited I show my ring to literally everyone I come in contact with...sorry to the Wendy’s cashier, the Canadian Tire cashier, and probably some confused strangers at the gas station!

Later That Year: We launch Damien’s Drywall & More, our very own small business. He’s the muscle. I’m the behind-the-scenes magic. We patch walls, build dreams, and clean a couple of really gross fridges together.

Now: We're planning the coziest, cutest wedding in a park...surrounded by our favorite people, hot dogs, and a whole lotta love!

The Proposal

I knew pretty early that Shirley Anne was the one. I bought the ring in early June and honestly? I couldn’t wait. The moment I had it, I drove over to her place and proposed right at her front door...dropped to one knee the second she opened it. I was hoping she’d be excited… and wow, she did not disappoint!
